Mr. Dean has been actively involved in lobbing and informing the government at state and federal levels concerning issues, of the mechanical contracting, building environment, and climate control industry. He has participated over the years in furthering the understanding by our law makers; of the concerns of climate control in public buildings, especially the school class room environment.

Thomas Dean has been active in the mechanical and general building construction industry since 1961 working in the commercial refrigeration and air conditioning industry installing and and repairing these systems. He has received technical training in these fields from industry manufacturers such as Trane, Carrier, York, McQuay, and many others of note in this field.

In 1991 General Mechanical Contractors was established by Thomas Dean, to provide mechanical infrastructures in heavy commercial applications such as public works projects including schools commercial buildings with extensive heating, air conditioning, electrical, ventilation, plumbing, and mechanical processing requirements.
